{"id":90797,"date":"2025-12-22T11:49:42","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T19:49:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newcomersjobscanada.ca\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=90797"},"modified":"2026-03-23T00:47:03","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T07:47:03","slug":"troy-life-fire-safety-ltd-1050-baxter-rd-ottawa-on-k2c-3p1-2-sprinkler-designer","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.newcomersjobscanada.ca\/fr\/?post_type=job_listing&p=90797","title":{"rendered":"Sprinkler Designer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design fire sprinkler and standpipe systems using AutoCAD, Revit, and\/or specialized fire protection software in a construction environment.<\/li>\n<li>Determine the applicable hazard(s) being protected and develop applicable fire sprinkler protection strategies in accordance with applicable Building codes, standards, and other project specific requirements<\/li>\n<li>Perform hydraulic calculations based on the applicable hazards being protected<\/li>\n<li>Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical plans to develop coordinated sprinkler system piping and sprinkler locations<\/li>\n<li>Prepare detailed design document submittals for approval<\/li>\n<li>Prepare detailed material lists for fabrication and installation<\/li>\n<li>Verify that all deliverables meet NFPA standards and local ordinances<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with management, estimating, design, fabrication, installation and project management as a valuable team member resulting in increased profitability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-5 years\u2019 working experience in fire protection design or related field or a recent graduate of post-secondary program in Fire Protection Engineering or related field of study.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the design, layout, hydraulic calculations, stock listing of fire protections systems<\/li>\n<li>Project management knowledge is an asset.<\/li>\n<li>NICET Certification in Water-Based Systems Layout is considered an asset, and\/or able to become certified.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency using AutoCAD and\/or Revit, MS Office, HydraCAD, and a hydraulic calculation &amp;
