Overview

JOB DUTIES:

·         Supervise and lead housekeeping staff, including housekeepers, room attendants, and janitorial staff.

·         Inspect rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards.

·         Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning products, linens, and other housekeeping supplies.

·         Develop and maintain work schedules for housekeeping staff to ensure adequate coverage.

·         Ensure proper training for new staff members and provide ongoing development for existing employees.

·         Monitor and control the department’s budget for supplies and labor.

·         Minimize waste and ensure cost-effective use of resources.

·         Ensure housekeeping staff follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

·         Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

·         Maintain daily records of housekeeping activities, including room inspections and tasks completed.

·         Report maintenance issues to the appropriate department (e.g., plumbing, electrical, or maintenance).

·         Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff.

Perform cleaning duties to cover shifts when required

WAGE: $33.00 CAD per hour

EDUCATION: Secondary School

LANGUAGE OF WORK: English

WORK EXPERIENCE: 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience

TERM: Permanent and Full time
