Key Responsibilities:

– Load and unload renovation materials, and move materials to work areas
– Erect and dismantle wooden & concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps
– Mix, pour and spread materials
– Assist other coworkers and tradespersons in construction activities
– Assist in demolishing structures using prying bars and other tools
– Sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
– Remove rubble and other debris at sites using rakes, shovels and other equipment
– Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers if required
– Perform cleaning/minor maintenance to the machines and tools
– Perform other related activities at construction sites, as required
– Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities
– Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
– Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers
– Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps
– Direct traffic at or near construction sites
