Overview

AKD Kitchen Soup and Goods is seeking a Cook to join their team.

Permanent, full-time (30-40 hours per week).
$17.00 per hour. Bonus based on Sales Performance.
Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 9:00am and 9:00pm as required.

Duties:

–  Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required;
– Follow recipes and presentation specifications;
– Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness;
– Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently;
– Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation;
– Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes;
– Provide training to new kitchen staff on matters of hygiene, Japanese food techniques, and other matters.

Requirements:
– Minimum 3 years of previous experience as a commercial cook;
– Japanese language ability is an asset;
– English language ability is required.
