Nestled in the heart of Maple Ridge, Alina Cafe & Eatery is a charming, family-owned establishment that prides itself on a harmonious blend of Western and Asian culinary traditions. Position Details
· Number of positions: One (01)
· Pay: $19 CAD/hour
· Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
· Schedule: Must be able to work within our operating hours (Mon – Sat: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
· Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
· Preparing a variety of Vietnamese dishes with the ability to inject creative twists while maintaining traditional flavours.
· Cooking and presenting dishes tailored to dietary needs, including vegan options.
· Working with fresh ingredients to prepare dishes such as Vegan Spring Rolls and specialty Bánh Mì sandwiches.
· Contribute to menu planning, bringing creative ideas that complement our fusion of Western and Asian cuisine.
· Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
· Collaborating with the team to offer exceptional service and create an unforgettable dining experience.
· Managing kitchen inventory and placing orders to ensure necessary supplies are always available.

Qualifications
· Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced environment; experience with Vietnamese or Asian cuisine is highly favourable.
· Highly attentive to detail and committed to delivering high-quality food.
· Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
· Knowledgeable about portion sizes and food presentation.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Ability to stand for extended periods.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with staff and patrons alike.
Trade certification is not required for this position, but a passion for cooking and a drive to learn are essential.
