Job Description:

– Position: Health Care Assistant

– Employer: Angel Heart Healthcare Inc.

– Work Location: 5459 Main St, Vancouver, BC V5W 2S1

– Business Address: Same as above

– Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time

– Wage: $25.00 per hour

– Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week

– Benefit: 4% of salary for vacation remuneration or 10 days of paid vacation.

– Language: English

– Vacancy: 1

 

Job Duties:

– Assist clients with ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming.

– Utilize observation skills to note changes in client’s condition.

– Take the client’s vital measurements like blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.

– Encourage participation in activity programs by assisting clients.

– Make beds and maintain clients’ rooms.

– Check and maintain inventory of supplies.

 

Job Requirements:

– Education: No formal education is required with on-the job training or a personal support worker, nursing aid or health care aide college or private institutional program is required.

 

– Experience: No formal experience is required, but experience with elderly clients and other skills related to Dementia Care is an asset.

 

– Completion of specialized course (CPR and first aid) is required.
