Job Description:

– Position: Dental Technician Assistant

– Employer: A&P Dental Laboratory Ltd.

– Work Location: 101-3294 Tennyson Ave. Victoria BC, Canada, BC V8Z 3P3

– Business Address: Same as above

– Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time

– Wage: $29.00 per hour

– Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week

– Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation and group benefits plan after the successful completion of probation period

– Language: English

Job Duties:

– Assist in the creation of plaster models and molds using dental impressions.

– Aid in the fabrication of wax bite-blocks and impression trays.

– Assist in the casting of gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases.

– Help pack plastic material into molds to create full or partial dentures.

– Assist in molding wax over denture set-ups to shape artificial gums.

– Support in the creation of orthodontic bands from various metals.

– Assist in finishing metal frameworks of dentures, as well as polishing and buffing dentures to achieve a natural appearance.

 

Job Requirements:

– Education: Completion of high school with up to two years of on-the-job training is required.

– Experience: Experience is an asset.
