Responsibilities
Tasks:
Prepare engineering designs and drawings;
Read blueprints to determine work requirements;
Develop and prepare design sketches;
Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates;
Prepare contracts and tenders;
Write technical reports;
Write specifications;
Estimate costs and materials;
Complete documentation packages and drawing sets;
Examine drawings for conformity and errors;
Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements;
Operate CADD and other computer software systems.

Type of drafting: Shop drawings; Detailing drafting; Presentation drawings
Computer and technology knowledge: Computer-aided design (CAD); SketchUp; AutoCAD; Autodesk REVIT; MS Office; MS Windows; Spreadsheet
