Job Description:

Employer: Atlantic Oriental Whoesale (AOW) Incorporated.

Title: Accounting Technician

Work Location: 127 Seal Point Road, Upper Port La Tour, NS N0W 3N0.

Business Address: 127 Seal Point Road, Upper Port La Tour, NS N0W 3N0

Wage: $20.00 per Hour

Number of work hours: 30-40 hours per week.

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Seasonal

Benefit: 4% of gross salary or 10 days paid vacation per year. On site Parking.

Job Duties:

–       Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and     computerized bookkeeping systems.

–       Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, which provide a snapshot of the company’s financial health and performance.

–       Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills.

–       Ensure that the company is in compliance with all tax laws and regulations, and that all tax payments and filings are made on time.

–       Prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports.

–       Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.

 

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Experience: Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field or completion of two years of a recognized professional accounting program or courses in accounting or bookkeeping OR equivalent experience is required.
