Job Duties:
• Cleaning and keeping up various surfaces and material within a building or space.
• Operating vacuum cleaner and floor cleaners, sweeping and mopping carpets and floors, and washing windows.
• Cleaning toilets and replenishing supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Responding to urgent situations, such as spills, that require quick action.
• Ordering cleaning supplies and equipment and maintaining an appropriate stock at all the times.
• Collecting and removing trash from a building or space.
• Making minor repairs as necessary, including tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing leaks.
• Monitoring heat, cooling, and other environmental systems.
• Maintaining a level of security in a building, such as locking doors, storing keys, and using access codes for restricted areas and rooms.
• Performing outdoor upkeep as necessary, including mowing grass, shovelling snow, and maintaining entrances and walkways.
