Five Springs Investment Inc. o/a A&W Restaurant at the University of Calgary is looking for a full-time permanent food service supervisor to join our busy team!

 

Position: Food Service Supervisor (NOC 62020)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30-40 hours per week), Day, morning, To be determined

Hourly Wage: $17.00

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location: 402 Collegiate Blvd NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1N4

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Provide outstanding food and beverage service to customers

·         Collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment from customers, also, balance cash and record sales

·         Responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the food service establishment

·         Supervise; co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and

serve food/drink

·         Place orders to vendors for required supplies

·         Assist in the process of hiring of new staff, when necessary

·         Train and mentor new and current employees in workplace safety, sanitation, and job duties.

·         Resolve customer complaints regarding quality and service·

·         Ensure that health and safety regulations as well as quality control standards are being met, to maintain sanitary environment and excellent food and service

·         Perform daily inventory counts and keep records of both necessary and wasted supplies/stock

·         Assist in the development process of company procedures and policies, when necessary

·         Other duties as assigned by the manager/director

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

·         Secondary school (senior high) graduation

·         Previous (at least 1-2 years) experience in the food service/handling industry

·         Previous experience in a supervisory role

·         Strong organization and effective interpersonal skills

·         Client focus; Team player – positive, reliable, and motivated

·         Physically capable of performing the required duties; repetitive tasks and working flexible hours by shift.

Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, physically demanding
