Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
– Install various types of flooring materials, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile
– Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas
– Prepare subfloors by removing old flooring, leveling surfaces, and repairing any damage
– Follow blueprints and floor plans to ensure accurate installation
– Use appropriate tools and equipment to complete installations
– Apply adhesives, nails, or staples to secure flooring materials
– Trim and finish edges of flooring materials for a clean and professional look
– Clean up work area and remove any debris after installation is complete
Experience:
– Previous experience as a flooring installer or similar role is preferred
– Knowledge of blueprint reading and floor plans is a plus
– Familiarity with carpentry techniques and tools
– Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for flooring installation
– Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and cutting materials
– Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges during installation
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team
