We are looking for an experienced Manager, Pet Care Services to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will work from the Black Collar Society Hotel located at 3644 Manchester Road SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2G 3Z5.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Oversee day to day duties, schedules and training of the dog-walking and pet-sitting team;
• Ensure all team members are trained to company standards and procedures for care of animals, dog-walking routes, pick-up and drop-off procedures and in-home pet-sitting guidelines;
• Problem solve with all parties involved to maintain high quality of care and ongoing training of all team members in interactions with dogs and owners;
• Cross-train with the Black Collar Society’s Hotel’s manager and retail store to ensure a high standard of quality in all areas;
• Participate in dog walks conducted in the Calgary area at various parks within the city;
• Provide pick-up and drop-off services to dog-owners’ homes; and
• Assist with managing inventory for the Black Collar Society Hotel and retail store.

Education and Skills/Work Experience Required:

• Secondary (high school) graduate or equivalent experience;
• Minimum of one year of experience with all aspects of dog care, dog-walking, and basic pet first-aid;
• Minimum of one year of management experience in a kennel or dog-walking setting and have experience managing teams of up to 10 people; and
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle; and
• Must be bondable and pass a criminal history check.

Job Details:

• 30 hours per week; and
• Hourly salary to be negotiated within a range of $36.22 to $39.00.
