Beelieve Honey Inc. is seeking an Apiary Worker to join the team in Abbotsford, BC.

 

Permanent, full-time; $19.00 per hour; 40 hours per week.

 

Duties:

·      Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment;

·      Interact with bees based on your knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology and caste system;

·      Wrapping and unwrapping hives;

·      Help to assemble nuc hives;

·      Supervising hives;

·      Pulling honey (must be able to lift and carry 50 to 70 lbs.);

·      Extracting honey.

 

 

Requirements:

 

– At least 1 year of previous work experience with apiaries required;

– Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs (23 kg);

– Must be willing to work for prolonged periods in hot weather;

– English language ability is required.
