Are looking for a short haul Class 1 Truck driver for our farming operation in Ashcroft for local pickup and deliveries of farming equipment and transporting hay, straw, round bales and different farm products and supplies. Wages $31.00 per hour for a 40-hour week and put in longer hours in certain times of year such as harvest time. Languages; Understand and can communicate in English. Experience; Operates and drives standard transmissions, primarily straight trucks and trailer units to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short interurban routes and between farms. Oversee the overall condition of the vehicle and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes, storage and checking of all fluids levels. Loading and unloading of cargo. Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting of goods. Keep the truck and trailer clean and wash after the load is unloaded. Be reliable, flexible and a team member and communicate with the manager and others in charge.
