Brookridge Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. dba PEL Chartered Professional Accountants located at 201 – 4664 LOUGHEED HWY, BURNABY, BC V5C 5T5 is looking for a Staff Accountant (Accounting Technician NOC 12200) to join its team as soon as possible:

Job Duties:

Maintaining client relationships to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks assigned
Preparation of review and notice to reader working paper files across different industries,
including unaudited financial statements, GST returns, and preparing T4s and T5s

Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements while maintaining relevant
documentation as backup to support entries

Completion of personal income tax returns

Preparation of corporate income tax returns

Preparation of year-end working papers in accordance with firm standards

Basic bookkeeping required to complete files

Financial analysis provided as requested on an ad-hoc basis

Ad-hoc administrative and process improvement projects as assigned from time to time

Supervising and mentoring co-op students in various accounting functions such as preparing and compiling packages for personal and corporate tax clients while maintaining quality and accuracy of work

Employment Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or related
field
Or
Courses in accounting or bookkeeping with 2 years of experience as
bookkeeper or accounting clerk
Language: English

Salary: $27.16/Hour for 40 hours/week
