Position: Construction Project Manager
Salary: $40.00 to $42.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment type: Permanent employment, Full time
Location: GTA, ON


  • Managing contracts on multiple construction projects from pre-construction to completion, including plan, design, coordination, budget, and scheduling
  • Define project scope and deliverables with other management.
  • Understands and enforces the contract documents and resolves disputes.
  • Create detailed project plans using industry standard methodologies.
  • Coordinate contractors, engineers, designer with ease while maintaining excellent service to clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Supervise the activities of sub-contractors.
  • Oversee monthly variances reporting, forecasting, and asset management.
  • Create, monitor, and maintain schedule for multiple projects.
  • Manage change requests/change orders, including negotiating, processing, assessing cost and schedule impact.
  • Responsible for quality of project meetings, ensuring minutes are properly prepared/reviewed and promptly distributed
  • Report project status and prepare the progress reports to the rest of the management and clients.
  • Monitor, interpret and forecast project cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and direct the purchase of materials on site.
  • Liaise and coordinate with site personnel.
  • Develop, implement, and comply with company safety plan, leading by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to participate and lead claims/dispute negotiations with owner and trade contractors
  • Participate in project closeout, including document archival, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.


  • At least 2 years in related Construction Management experience.
  • Post-Secondary Education in architecture, engineering or architectural technology preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry, including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, safety, and quality management practices.
  • Identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
  • Manage project budgets, create, and schedule a project.
  • Knowledge of cost and change management.
  • Ability to create and manage the document control process for a project.
  • Ability to write and administer subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Strong planning, organizational, time management skills. Along with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Creative critical thinking skills.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to the project team.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work in a challenging environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
