Job Title: Church Facilities Manager
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary/Hours: $21/hr, 30hr/week
Reports To: Church Administrator

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly-motivated, experienced, and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our church facilities. The successful candidate will ensure that the church buildings, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained, safe, and ready for use by the congregation and community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and improvement of church facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all church properties.
- Implement and manage security protocols, access control systems, and emergency preparedness plans.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and volunteers.
- Manage and oversee facility-related projects, including new construction, renovations, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and manage the facility budget, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Schedule and coordinate facility use for church events, meetings, and external rentals.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance and safety issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and facility-related expenses.
- Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and issues.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Collaborate with church staff and ministry leaders to support the needs of various programs and events.
- Identify and apply for funding opportunities applicable to support facility upgrades and community projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of and experience with building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
- Experience with RFP management and grant writing are an asset.
- Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision making, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all church members and visitors.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all financial and administrative matters.
- Experience working for a non-profit organization is an asset.

Education:
- A diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field is preferred.
