Dorigo Systems Ltd. is currently looking to hire an experienced Document Technician to join our growing team! Reporting to the Director of Production/Engineering, the Document Technician will be responsible for managing the company’s internal and external documentation according to quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Bill of Materials & Change Requests:
- Responsible for building/changing bill of materials, in ERP system and Factory Logix
- Accountable for distribution/notification of document release, changes and obsolescence
- Create and modify Change Notices/Orders
- Issue controlled parts and document numbers
- Collaborate with various departments to acquire information needed for change orders
- Work with Engineered drawings
Document Management:
- Develop and implement engineering documentation control procedures to ensure the orderly recording, tracking, and retrieval of documents.
- Support various project leads in the creation of engineering change request documentation, and archiving of manufacturing documents, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), specifications, and forms.
- Collaborate with various departments to collect, review, and update documents to reflect current processes and standards.
Version Control:
- Manage document version control to ensure that all users have access to the latest revisions.
- Implement a systemic approach to track changes, approval, and effective dates for each document.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all manufacturing documents comply with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments, such as engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment of documents with operational requirements.
Credentials & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of document management procedures and standards
- Ability to follow procedures and processes
- Familiarity with Electronic Document Systems (EDMS)
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced work environment
- Electrical Engineering Diploma and ability to read and work with Engineered drawings
Job Type: This is an in-person full-time, on-site position (40 hours per week) from Monday to Friday at our office in Burnaby, BC
Salary: $26.60 per hour
