Overview

Caregiver for 66 yr old quadriplegic man with ALS in our home ( Company name of Douglas and Heather Howard) for permanent fulltime.

Optional accomodation available at no charge on a live in basis. This is not a condition for employment.

Language required is English

Duties include:

-laundry and some light housekeeping

-assist client with feeding, dressing, personal hygiene and other personal care

-do physio stretches and apply bipap and do LVR as needed

-provide therapeutic meals

-assist in pool therapy and drive to pool and get groceries

-administer medication

-overtime sometimes

-ability to support 45kg or 100lb

Wage : $20/hr

Valid drivers license and criminal check required

Education: College CEGEP or other non-university certification or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience

Experience : 1 year to less than 2
