Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dental Health Services Administrator.

About the Position:

  • This is a permanent, full-time (40 – 48 hours/week) position with a schedule of Monday to Friday (day shifts).
  • We offer a competitive wage of $32 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering client inquiries and addressing their concerns effectively.
  • Manage patient appointments efficiently, including scheduling, booking, and creating comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Assist with staff recruitment and selection by reviewing applications and screening candidates.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations by handling outgoing mail, training new staff members, and overseeing office activities.
  • Manage patient insurance by reviewing documents, verifying covered procedures and deductibles, and handling accounts receivable.
  • Maintain dental office supplies by taking inventory and ordering replacements as needed.
  • Offer support and assistance to the dental staff in all aspects of their daily tasks.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls, scheduling appointments, and ensuring patients are informed.
  • Coordinate the delivery of health care services within the department
  • Plan, direct, control and organize daily operations

Qualifications:

  • Degree in dentistry or equivalent experience, Certificate in Medical office managment or Health Care Administration (an asset)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in dental office management
  • Previous experience in healthcare management roles
  • Knowledge and experience with dental terminology and insurance procedures
  • Familiarity with Cleardent software (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
