Overview
Job title: In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is December 1, 2024.
Language requirement: French or English.
Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17.00 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.
Location: RyBe… lives in Laval, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by. The major intersection is Boul. Saint-Martin Est and Bd. D’Auteuil
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of a 3 year old child. The family is expecting a second child.
2- Supervision of children when parents are not at home, and take the child to and from appointments
4- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
5- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
6- Bathe children as needed. Change diapers, dress, and feed the newborn once the child is born.
7- General housework that will include doing, laundry and some ironing.
8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision
