Overview
Job title: In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is October 1, 2024.
Language requirement: French or English.
Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.
Location: JoFe… lives in westmount, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus and metro are easily accessible and is close by. The major intersection is Sherbrooke St. O, and Decarie blvd.
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of two children aged 3 years old and 2 year old.
2- Supervision of children when parents are not at home, and take the child to and from appointments
3- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
4- Prepare and cook nutritious snacks and meals for the children, and help to feed them until they are able to feed themselves
5- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
6- Bathe children and change diapers as needed
7- General housework that will include doing, laundry and some ironing.
8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision
