Tasks
Including but not limited to the following:
- Lead a team of 3+ field carpenters
- Coordinate and communicate with subtrades
- Coordinate with Foreman or Super for meeting schedule deadlines weekly
- Conduct daily site safety meetings (toolbox, job hazard analysis, etc. as required)
- Assist Foreman or Superintendent with design, plan, layout, and install
- Build formwork, and braces
- Place, set, finish slabs, sidewalks, and walls
- Handling and transporting materials (e.g. cement, wood, tools, equipment)
- Assisting Foreman or Superintendent with structural design, planning, layout, and installation.
- Conduct repair work and installation of slabs, sidewalks, curbs, other concrete works as required.
- Assess the quality of formwork and materials.
- Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
- Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)
- Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding)
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
