Glowbal Restaurant Group is looking for 2 full time permanent Maitre’ds at our Black + Blue location at 130 King Street, Toronto, ON

JOB DUTIES:
·         Receive and record guest’s reservations and assign tables
·         Greet guests and escort them to tables or other seating areas
·         Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and attend to complaints
·         Order dining room supplies and equipment
·         Inspect dining and service areas and equipment
·         Supervise and coordinate activities of food and beverage servers and other serving staff
·         Accept payment from guests for food and beverages
·         Prepare work schedules and update payroll system
·         Interview candidates for food and beverage server positions and train new employees
·         Maybe responsible for marketing and advertising the restaurant

SKILLS REQUIRED:
·         Dining room set up and mise en place skills
·         Knowledge of restaurant industry
·         Menu creation skills
·         Elegant and refined appearance and manner
·         Professional and proficient customer service
·         Leadership and decision-making skills
·         Organizational and planning skills
·         Ability to work well under pressure

REQUIREMENTS:
·         Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar position
·         Ability to communicate in English
·         Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
·         Serving it Right or Smart Serve certified within 2 weeks of employment
·         Food Safe or Safe Food Handling within 2 weeks of employment

BENEFITS:
·         $75,000-$85,000 annual salary pending experience & skill set
·         40-50 hours per week
·         Extended Health, Dental and Life Insurance after 3 months
