Overview

Grizz Hotel is located close to cultural highlights such as Revelstoke Railway Museum and Revelstoke Museum and Archives. If museums aren’t your thing, we are also close to the Revelstoke Mountain resort where you can enjoy a variety of Winter activities. We’re seeking a dedicated and motivated cook to join our team.

 

Job Duties:

Prepare and cook, prepares food items from the menu and special meals per instructed by the customer

Coordinate the food preparation for customized events

Assist in developing new menus and provide estimates for food requirements

Plan, manage and order food/kitchen supplies

Maintain and inspect food quality and kitchen area cleanliness

Participate in the hiring, supervising and training of other kitchen employees

Work with other team members to prepare buffets and banquets as needed

 

Job Requirements:

Education: high school diploma or equivalent experience

Experience: 1-2 years of directly related experience in a commercial kitchen; hotel experience is an asset

Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort

English is a MUST

Shift work required(Day, Early Morning, Evening, Morning, Night, Shift, Weekend)

 

Additional Details:

Job type: full-time, permanent

Salary: 17.40 $/hour for 30-40 hours/week
