Requirements: Completion of secondary school. Must have 1-2 years of work experience in food service industry. 1 year of work experience as a supervisor in food service industry is preferred.

 

Job Duties:

The Food service supervisor is responsible for efficient operation of restaurant by co-ordinating the activities of employees.

Supervise the employees by scheduling and coordinating their work activities
Track inventory and place food and supplies order for preparing customer orders
Monitors meals being served to ensure established standards of quality are maintained.
Create employee shift schedule
Demonstrates floor leadership by working at various stations during busy periods to maintain optimal service levels
Maintain records of food sales
Resolves problems that arise such as customer complaints or supply shortages
Keeps a record of food inventory, product waste and food sales
Train employees in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
Ensures that customers receive prompt and friendly service
Assist in hiring new employees
Assist store manager in developing work procedures and safety policies
