HYTHE PIONEER ASSISTED LIVING o/a PEARSON PLACE located at 10409-99 Street, Hythe, Alberta T0H 2C0 is accepting applications for the position of HEALTH CARE AIDE – NOC 33102
$23.00 per hour plus benefits (medical/dental, employer matching RRSP program, discounted food, wellness program) shift differential, wage increase once HCA reach 1095 hours required , up to 40 hours per week, permanent, full-time, shift hours.
Completion of a trade or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years as Health care aide or Nursing Assistant is required. HCA certified with and active registration in the provincial HCA Directory is required. 7 months to less than 1 year work experience as HCA is required. Ability to communicate in English is required.
Job description: Serve meal trays and feed patients. Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments. Make beds and maintain patient’s room. Transport patients between care facilities. Take patient’s blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Weigh, lift and turn and position patients. Supervise patient’s exercise routines. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patient in wheelchair or stretcher. Answer call signals. Collect specimens. Accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
