We, IBII Construction Inc, are looking for passionate candidates for the position of a full-time Carpenter.

 

Position: Carpenter (NOC 72310)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30 to 40 hours per week), Morning, Day

Hourly Wage: $30

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location: #11-5970 Island Hwy W Qualicum Beach, BC V9K 2E1

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

•  Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
•  Preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
•  Interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications
•  Taking measurements and calculating project size and the amount of material needed
•  Cutting, shaping, smoothing, assembling, and joining lumber or other materials
•  Building foundations, preparing and installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting wallsand roof systems
•  Preparing, installing, repairing, and fitting custom stairway, doors, molding, and hardware
•  Inspecting sites, maintaining and repairing renovated residences

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

·       Completion of secondary school

·       More than 3 years of carpentry experience

·       Certificate of apprenticeship program or college diploma related to carpentry as an asset

·       Physical capability of performing duties

·       Team player, Reliability, Judgement

 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

–           Bending, crouching, kneeling; Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Handling heavy loads
