Health Care Assistant

ILAPOGU INVESTMENTS INC DBA Oriole Lodge Family Care Home located in Abbotsford, BC is looking for 4 Health Care Assistant to join our team as soon as possible.

Job Description

1.Carry out assessments of patients with mobility and rehabilitation needs within agreed guidelines and competency frameworks within their own environments.

2. Carry out planned treatment programmes for patients with complex needs, taking into account their underlying condition, ensuring safe environment

3. To modify specific patient treatment programmes by reassessing and progressing as appropriate.

4. To have an understanding of a wide range of sometimes complex conditions in order to judge appropriateness of patient intervention for individual treatment sessions.

5. To be responsible for the identification of those patients needing further assessment from qualified staff.

6. In the absence of qualified staff; to be able to plan, organise, prioritise and treat patient caseload, making clinical judgements about a patient’s conditions.

7. Report back to relevant staff on patient’s progress.

8. To report immediately any incident or accident and complete appropriate form.

9. To ensure that equipment and walking aids are kept clean to prevent the spread of infections.

Job Requirement

• Secondary School education is required. On Job Training will be provided.
• Degree/Diploma in Nursing OR Care Aide Diploma is an asset.
• First Aid Certificate is an asset.

Salary: $25.19/Hour (40 hours/ Week)
