Overview

Jetra foods Inc. (dba Samurai sushi ) is seeking a Head Cook for their Vancouver restaurants.

 

Permanent, F/T (40 hours per week), $28.00/hour .

Standard 8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 9am and 11pm as required.

 

Work Locations:

#1 1108 Davie St., Vancouver, BC V6E 1N1

#2 6428 Fraser St., Vancouver, BC  V5W 3A4

 

Duties:

– Cooking everything on the menu

– Coordinating and overseeing kitchen staff and cooks in managing the preparation of meals;
– Ensuring all meals leaving the kitchen are consistent in presentation and quality;
– Menu/cost/portion planning; creating daily or weekly special menus;
– Assign training duties to various kitchen staff for newly hired employees, and monitor training progress.

 

Qualifications:

– Minimum 2 years of previous experience as a commercial cook

– Japanese language ability is an asset

– Previous experience with Japanese sushi cuisine

– English language ability is required
