Job Requirements

·       Languages: English

·       Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 yea.

·       Experience: Will train.

·       Security and Safety: Criminal record check.

·       Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Hand-eye co-ordination.

Job Responsibilities:

·       Prepare patients for dental examinations.

·       Prepare plaster models and moulds.

·       Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions.

·       Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases.

·       Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, and maintain and order supplies.

·       Mould wax over dentures set-up.

·       Educate patients concerning oral hygiene.

·       Finish metal framework of dentures and supervise students in training.

·       Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays.

·       Schedule and confirm appointments.

·       Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures.

·       Take and develop X-rays.

·       Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys.

·       Record dental procedures performed on patients and invoice patients for dental services.

·       Polish and buff dentures and fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations.
