Job Title: Sushi Chef

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Wage: $22.00 per hour with 4% of gross salary for vacation remuneration.

Hours of work: 30-40 hours per week.

Duties:
– Manage the kitchen and direct cooking activities.

-Prepare and cook a wide range of sushi, rolls, and sashimi and make sushi rice properly.

– Develop creative new recipes, seasonal dishes, and daily specials.

– Maintain records of food, supplies and equipment as needed.

– Instruct cooks in preparation, garnishing, and presenting food using cooking techniques.

– Ensure that food meets quality standards, and that health and safety regulations are followed.

– Assist with overseeing kitchen operations.

 

Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school

And

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial food preparation required, OR cook’s trade certification or equivalent credentials, training and experience are required.
