JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Restaurant Assistant Manager [60030]

 

MAIN DUTIES:

 

·       Assist the Manager with the operations of the establishment and take full charge

in the absence of the Manager

·       Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performances and report to the Manager

·       Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

·       Negotiate and manage client orders and events to ensure deadlines for orders are met

·       Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices

·       Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed

·       Resolve any customer complaints

·       Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the establishment.

·       Oversee staff training, assist in recruitment as necessary

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

·       Secondary school certificate mandatory

·       Previous managerial experience and/or related schooling an asset

·       Several years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience required

·       Must be a good team member with great communication skills.
