Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years; having a certificate in culinary is an asset

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Work setting: Restaurant, Relocation costs covered by employer

Geographical areas of specialization: having experience in South East Asian cuisine is preferred

Personal suitability: Dependability, Flexibility, Initiative, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Team player

Tasks: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas
