Overview

A small retail shop is looking for an experienced and hard-working accountant clerk to join the team.

The Essential Function/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain filing and record systems
  • Enter and verify transaction in a ledger or computer system or using manual method
  • Manage various accounts such as payable and receivable, payroll, purchase, sales, inventory etc.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, update inventory for new goods received
  • Invoice clients
  • Prepare checks
  • Monitor shared email boxes and provide proper actions with regards to inquiries
  • Calculate costs of expenses
  • Calculate sales
  • Prepare trial balance
  • Calculate and prepare documents related to various accounts
  • Prepare period statements or reports
  • Other related duties as requested

Qualifications and required skills:

  • At least secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years
  • Accurate, organized, reliability, dependability, judgement, time management

Job type: full-time, permanent, 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday

Work location: 1808 hwy14, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0

Compensation and benefit:

CAD$16/hour; Extended medical insurance;
