Permanent Position: Glass Cutter

Location of work: 17530 56A Avenue Suite 3, Surrey, BC, V3S 6A2

Wage rate: $25.00 per hour, for 40 Hours per week

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required

Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Language: Basic Knowledge of English

Job Duties:

· Cut glass along marked outlines or around pattern using hand tools

· Examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut.

· Operate process control machinery to cut glass or assemble glass window units.

· Place pattern on or under glass for cutting.

· Set up and adjust glass and glass product finishing machines.

· Operate finishing machines to grind, drill, sand, bevel, decorate, wash or polish glass or glass products.

· Spray or swab molds with oil solutions to prevent adhesion of glass.

· Coat glass with silver or other metals and materials.

Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, if required.

Working Conditions: Candidates should be physical fit and be able to lift weight (50lbs).
