Wage: $19.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, caring and experienced Home Child Care Provider to assist in the care and well-being of our two children, aged 6 and 15. The primary focus of care will be for the younger child, with occasional assistance for the older child as needed.

Responsibility:

· Oversee my children’s activities and maintain a safe and healthy environment.

· Provide attentive, safe and nurturing care for both children.

· Prepare nutritious meals and snacks.

· Assist the younger child with daily routines, including dressing and hygiene.

· Accompany children to and from school or other appointments/activities as needed.

· Engage the children in fun learning activities such as reading, drawing and crafting.

· Play with the younger child with diﬀerent educational toys.

· Oversee the well-being of the children and ensure they are aware of their physical and emotional needs.

· Follow household rules and parental instructions carefully.

· Communicate regularly with parents about the children’s activities and needs.

· Perform light housekeeping related to children as required.

· Perform other childcare duties as required.

Job Requirements:

· Secondary School Education.

· At least 1 year of experience looking after children.

· Able to cook.

· Organized and reliable.

· Excellent personal hygiene.

· Have a strong sense of responsibility.

· A childcare related certificate is an asset.

· Criminal record checks and references may be required.
