Overview

We are looking for line cooks! Bodega on Main is Vancouver’s best Spanish Tapas Bar and Lounge serving traditional Spanish cuisine from our family recipes.

 

Job Description:
Job Title: Line Cook

Employer: Main Bodega Inc. dba Bodega on Main

Work Location: 1014 Main Street, Vancouver, BC, V6A 2W1 (Employer covers the relocation costs, public transportation is available)

Business Address: Same as above

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Wage: $17.62 per hour

Benefit: 4% gross salary for vacation remuneration.

Hours of work: 30-40 hours per week.

Work Shift: It can be daytime, evening, weekends, and/or holiday.

Language: Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

 

Duties:

– Prepare a variety of cold prep items for all batch cooked items, sauces, etc.

– Prep, assemble and cook all food on the menu under our recipe guidelines and health code specification.

– Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of kitchen and equipment at all times.

– Responsible for all stove, oven, and fryer cooking. Properly portions all food items such as meats, seafood, and vegetables before cooking.

– Supervise and train kitchen helpers.

– Maintain daily inventory and records of food stock, supplies and equipment.

 

 

Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of Secondary school is required.

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience OR Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program, college, or other programs in cooking is required.
