Hiring Accounting Technician(Permanent, Full-Time)

 

Position: Accounting Technician

Number of Positions: 1

Wage: $26.00–$27.00 per hour

Work Hours: 40.00 hours per week (Full-time, Permanent)

Benefit: Vacation pay 4%

Work Location: YVR Finance Cluster (7551 Westminster Hwy, Richmond, BC V6X 1A3)

Main Duties:

l  Keep financial records and maintain various accounts using bookkeeping systems

l  Control and maintain hotel float, manage float disbursement when necessary, and complete monthly float counts for employee held banks

l  Prepare and reconcile accounts, cash receipts, tax returns and bills

l  Co-ordinate with property events and sales teams to ensure accurate billing

l  Perform other general administrative as assigned

 

Requirements:

l  Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

l  Completion of  Secondary School is required

l  Completion of a college program in accounting or bookkeeping in a strong asset

l  Expertise with Excel and familiarity with accounting and management programs

l  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

l  Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure

l  Fluent in English
