Overview

Marutama Food Services Ltd. (dba Maruhachi Ramen) is seeking an Assistant Cook.

Permanent, Full-time; (30-40 hours per week), $18.00/per hour, plus bonus available based on sales performance. Extended healthcare benefits are optional.

Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 9am and 11pm as required

Duties:

– Cooking everything on the menu;
– Prepare Ramen ingredients and other Japanese food;
– Inspecting ingredients for quality and freshness and supervising all food preparation.

–Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
–Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
–Clean kitchen and work areas

Qualifications:

– Minimum 7 months of previous experience as a commercial cook;
– Previous experience with Japanese ramen cuisine is an asset.
– Japanese language ability is an asset;
– English language ability is required.
