Job Duties:
Reporting to Senior Management, the Kitchen Helper is responsible for but not limited to:
Reporting to Production Manager
Assist in food preparation in a safe and consistent manner
Monitor inventory levels, and notify Production Manager when low in stock
Clean and wash equipment and tools as directed by Production Manager
Maintain food safety and production documents
Place dishes in storage area
Performing various general tasks; packaging, feeding product to the line, packaging, opening jars, closing lids, etc.
Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
Scour pots and pans
Place pots, pans, utensils in storage area
Portion and package food for bottling into mason jars
Stock refrigerators
Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
Handle and store cleaning products
Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and other storage areas
Remove kitchen garbage and trash
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
Wash, peel and cut vegetables
Other duties as required
Placing items in cooler, freezer
Skills, Experience and Education Required:
On-the-job training is provided
Must be willing to work flexible shifts including weekends
Good hand and manual dexterity
Coordination and multi-task skills
Must be thorough with attention to detail
Able to lift 40lbs
Able to stand for long periods
Comfortable in either a cold or warm environment
Effective interpersonal skills
Wage and Hours: $15.50 – $16.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, overtime pay at $23.25 – $24.00 per hour after 44 hours per week
