Job duties and Responsibilities
·       Levelling the top surface of freshly poured concrete on floors, walls, ceilings or sidewalks
·       Operating a power vibrator to compress concrete
·       Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete
·       Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces
·       Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
·       Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions.
·       Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process.
·       Applying sealing and hardening components.
·       Safely operating power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted.
·       Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
·       Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine.
·       Helping with forming of concrete

About Melfer Construction

Melfer Construction is seeking a Concrete Finisher to work full-time, permanent, 44 hours per week at various construction job sites within 1-1.75 hour driving distance from their Head Office located at 7 Paisley Lane Stouffville, ON L4A 7X4.
