Overview

Mercroft Construction Ltd. located in Port Coquitlam, BC is looking for a Finishing Carpenter to join its team as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret specifications, layouts or designs
Use measuring tools, measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood and wood substitute
Shaping and trimming wood with hand or power tools as per requirements
Install doors, windows, stairs and other wooden fixtures
Maintain, repair and renovate residential structures according to client needs
Trimming of moldings to match irregular surfaces
May prepare budgets and estimate cost for client requirements
Inspect and replace damaged framework, structures or fixtures
Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required
Completion of a three- to four- year apprenticeship program
OR

2 Years of experience in the trade

Language: English

Compensation: $33.00/hour for 40 hours/week
