Overview

Nakamura Shokudou Marketing Corp. (dba Wasabi Ramen and Izakaya) is seeking a Head Ramen Chef.

Permanent, full-time; $34.62 per hour; 30-40 hours per week.

Standard 6-8 hour shifts for this position could be scheduled anytime between 10:00am and 10pm as required.

Duties:
– Prepare ingredients, including ramen soup base;
– Cooking izakaya and other Japanese food items (everything on the menu);
– Inspecting ingredients for quality and freshness;
– Supervising all food preparation;
– Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring kitchen staff;
– Analyzing recipes and making new menu;
– Coordinating all food budgeting, purchasing, and planning operations.

Requirements:
– Secondary school completion required;
– Minimum 5 years of previous experience as a commercial cook;
– Ramen experience is an asset;
– English language ability is required;
– Japanese language ability is an asset.
