EDUCATIONAL COUNSELLOR

New Vision Immigration Consultants Co. Ltd. located in Surrey, BC is looking for an enthusiastic, well organized and dynamic EDUCATIONAL COUNSELLOR to join its team as soon as possible.

Duties:

• Counsel students regarding course selection and college selection
• Assist them in applications for admissions
• Act as a liaison between schools and prospective students by communicating information
• Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and workshops
• Track prospective students from query points to retaining company services
• Reply to general inquires and requests for information with respect to studying in Canada
• Administer standardized intelligence, aptitude and interest tests
• Provide counselling regarding school transfers, exchange programs and vocational courses
• Help in booking English tests and make them aware of requirements for schools
• Help in enrolling international students with financial institutions for guaranteed investment
certificates
• Visit colleges and secondary schools to provide academic information to prospective students
and their parents
• Perform other duties associated with assisting students for admissions and post admission
related services

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in counselling, career development, education or related field is required
Experience: Some experience in the field will be an asset
Language: English

Salary:$38.57 per hour for 32 hours per week.
