Overview
Partnar Animal Health, a Health Canada approved manufacture of veterinary drugs based in London, Ontario is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will lead a team of analytical chemists in the development and implementation of new analytical methods and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a BSc in Analytical Chemistry or a related field, with a proven track record of excellence in analytical chemistry research. Your graduate chemistry training will be further supported with undergraduate or Masters level studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences. In addition, the candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting and have undertaken method development studies and suitability testing.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of analytical chemists in the development and implementation of new analytical methods and procedures.
Oversee the analysis of chemical samples and provide technical guidance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain and operate state-of-the-art analytical instruments, and ensure the safety and proper functioning of laboratory equipment.
Conduct research to improve analytical methods and procedures, and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in analytical chemistry.
Prepare reports and presentations on analytical results and provide technical support to other departments.
Qualifications:
BSc in Analytical Chemistry or related field
At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a laboratory setting
Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and techniques
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Experience with a variety of analytical instruments, including GC-MS, HPLC,IR, KF, Dissolution, Melting Point, Density Meter, Moisture Analyzer, Automatic Titrator and pH Meter.
Proficient in statistical analysis software such as JMP, R, or Python
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
