Overview
SUMMARY: A cleaning supervisor shoulders a wide range of responsibilities. He/she tries as much as possible to make sure that sanitation technicians under his/her supervision carry out their functions effectively and promptly too while upholding the standard to which these duties should be performed at. We are looking for a candidate who not only leads by example but inspires others to ensure they are working to the best of their abilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure sanitation activities are completed on time and in accordance with the production schedule.
· Ensure that all employees are fully trained and qualified in WHMIS and other chemical safety-related programs prior to handling, storing and using chemicals and operating sanitation equipment.
· Supervise and co-ordinate the work of light-duty, industrial or specialized cleaners and cleaning and sanitization technicians for both the production facility and the warehouse.
· Inspect the facility areas to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
· Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment
· Ensures top-level leadership of the training of all team members.
· Supervise sanitation operations in accordance with manufacturing plant policies and procedures (Safety, GMP).
· Provide excellent leadership by example from the floor to the sanitation team, acting with honesty and integrity, ensuring that the cultural values are being promoted at all times.
· Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to product safety, legality, and quality
· Prepare work cleaning and sanitization schedule and coordinate activities with those of other departments.

Qualifications
· Strong problem solving and analytical abilities and mechanical aptitude
· Minimum 2-3 years related experience, within the manufacturing sector.
· Able to schedule sanitation employees in various multi-tasking activities
· Taking initiative to achieve results
· Interpersonal skills to maintain positive employee relations
· Ability to lead and motivate a team
· Dedicated and energetic
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be self-reliant, and be energized by opportunities to learn and grow, and be a steward of your own career
· Solid knowledge of GMPs, WHMIS, first aid, and product safety
Language of work: English at a pre-academic level
Wage: $28.39
