Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years operating production machines
Work Setting:
Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Food processing plant.
Work Site Environment: Noisy, cold/refrigerated
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks
Operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products
Record production information
Perform corrective machine adjustments
Inform supervisor of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities
Make adjustments to process variables
Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines
Check products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards
Organize and stage products to run in a timely and smooth fashion with minimal waste
Complete proper equipment setup for a variety of protein products with safe assembly and disassembly of equipment
Adjust slicers to produce optimal sliced product results as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Organize material required to meet production schedule
Ensure compliance with CFIA regulations, GMPs and HACCP.
Document and update any machine settings to maximize production.
