Port Hill Farm Inc. is looking for 4 Farm Workers – livestock (NOC 85100) to join them ASAP.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (30 to 35 hours a week)

Wage: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour (based on experience)

 

Duties:

·         Regularly feed, water, and monitor livestock, poultry, and other animals, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and care.

·         Milk animals like cows and goats, using manual or mechanical methods, while ensuring cleanliness and efficiency.

·         Handle tasks like sorting, tagging, and branding animals, ensuring proper identification and grouping.

·         Clean and maintain barns, stables, and pens, while also assisting in repairs and upkeep of farm infrastructure and equipment.

·         Keep a close watch on the health and well-being of animals, providing basic care or administering medications when necessary.

·         Assist in breeding programs, from monitoring cycles to helping with births and caring for newborn animals.

·         Prepare animals for transport, ensuring they are ready and safely loaded for travel.

 

Job requirements:

 

•      Education: No formal education is required.

•      Experience would be an asset. On-the-job training provided.

•      Work Conditions: Ability to work under pressure and in all weather conditions.

•      Physical Capabilities:  Ability to work long hours and / or weekends are required, lifting may require.
